Higher Order Thinking Skills: Student Profile Using Two-Tier Multiple Choice Instrument

This research aimed to analyze students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) using a two-tier multiple choice (TTMC) test instrument. study used descriptive quantitative method with purposive sampling technique. The instruments are multiple-choice tests free reasoning, the TTMC for data, interview guides, and learning observations qualitative data. Anderson Krathwohl's Bloom taxonomy revision (2001) cognitive instrument classify HOTS. results showed that higher-order thinking skill profile has an average score of 63,21 dominated good. Students' level analyzing/C4 (74,35%) is more dominant compared evaluating/C5 (68,90%) creating/C6 (63,24%). hormonal regulatory subconcept gets highest correct answer percentage 89,74%, contraceptive lowest 35,90%. One factor influences high low each difficulty question; medium (enough) in too tricky method. Analysis patterns based on shows students better able questions first tier than answering second tier.
